My go to would always be a white shirt or blouse with black skirt/pants (trousers). Whether I am going to work or to play, if there is an option for black and white, I just go for it. Why not?
Let’s talk about a white shirt for a minute. A “white shirt” is classic, timeless and it is a wardrobe essential / staple. Everyone need at least one in their closet.
Now, there is a problem: black and white can be plain, bland and boring, so, in this post, I bring you the few ways I make my white shirts look fly.
To Make Your White Shirt Look Fly, the Magic is Details, Details, Details
The best and easiest way to make your shirt look fly is to add simple details. I particularly love shirts, blouses or tops with fun or fab details. Well, no wonder I have “a million” white shirts with details. Let’s see some chic ways I have made black and white look fly….
1, Over Sized Bow
If I were the one who designed this Victoria Beckham blouse below, I would have made the bow detachable. I guess they do not want to cheapen the brand by leaving room for detaching it at will to wear it with another blouse….See full details of look HERE
To make your shirt fly, look for an oversized bow like this one and wear your white shirt with it. It makes a lot of difference.
I always look for an alternative for you, this is an oversized “bowlike” brooch I got for $1.99 in H&M. This one would do for your own look…they come in different colours…..
2, Circus Style Shirt / Hi-Low Effect
This blouse was love at first sight when I saw it. I added it to my collection of white blouses because it is a piece I can dress up or down.
It is even perfect for the curvy woman because it would cover the butt if you are one who doesn’t like to show off your rear. I love this one….See full details HERE
3, Contrasting Buttons on a White Shirt
As cheap as this blouse was when I got it, it is still one of my most worn and favourite white blouses. The black buttons add a nice accent to the shirt and takes it to a fly level. Shirt was €29.99, I have washed it numerous times and it comes out really crisp and clean. See full details of look HERE
Look for contrasting buttons on your shirt. They dress up your look.
4, Frills on Fleek
What is a white shirt without some “drama”? I absolutely love a white shirt with some frills on it. With frills on your white blouse or shirt, you look would definitely be fly.
5, Tie Blouse!
Buy a blouse with a tie details and tie it into a massive bow. This looks elegant and chic
6, Stripes
Instead of wearing plain jumpers this Autumn. Go for a stripe one. Stripes make your look more dressy….
And there you have it, some ways to make your white blouse look fly. You can add in a pop of colour like lipsticks, nail polishes or shoes. Those are fab ways too. In the absence of any of that, just follow my lead as above. Please have fun in your own way.

I agree with you. Black and white is so easy to style. Black was all I wore many years ago. I only started wearing colour a few years ago.
I believe colours would be great on you Stella. Wear more of that
Cheers.
