The little black dress (LBD) in my humble opinion is a wardrobe staple or a wardrobe must have for every woman; even the modern woman. The LBD is one style piece you can simply take from day to night effortlessly and from one season to another. Isn’t that right?
For a formal meeting I attended the other day, I choose this not so little black dress. The moment I saw this one online, I knew it will be a perfect addition to my collection of LBDs because of the detail on the slit and the length. I do not have any black dress that hits below the knee and for a tall woman like me, it doesn’t happen everyday.
Also LBDs are timeless, classy and you can spot them to all occasions from work to business meetings and to date nights. And with the direction fashion is going, it is now acceptable in the fashion world to style your LBD with sneakers – these days, sneakers go with everything.
For my look today, I paired my “midi black dress” with patent leather pumps and gold accessories. I wore gold drop earrings, gold brooch which screams classic and black belt with gold accent. Then gold and black sunglasses completes my look. The sun glasses wasn’t part of the look until I met up with Claire for photos, she owns them. Just for fun, here is what happened on my photo set with Claire.
Claire: I think the glasses will look nice with your accessories.
Me: Well, let me try them
Claire: My glasses look nicer on you than on me
Me: Because I am a star. Not really 
Isn’t it fun to have a Photographer that is also your friend? We both laughed about the Sunglasses so hard that we captured the moment on camera. See below………

Simple yet classic sheath dress. No no, not at second glance. Love that the back kick split gives you something to look at. How often do you see that. This should inspire everyone to look for pieces that are a cut above the norm. I know it has me.
