Happy Wednesday  Everyone!!! How are you all doing in Wendy Williams voice? I love that mama, she is very bold.

LEATHER & CHIFFON MIX.

Mixing texture is fun, I love it! For this look, I combined a delicate fabric(chiffon with pearls & beads) with a tough fabric(leather) and the mixture of both = TOUGH LOVE.  

I know you will be wondering what in Jesus name is tough love. It is just how the delicate blouse mixes so harmoniously with the leather. The fragile colour of the outfit is another thing, it made the look so soft and sleek. Personally if I could wear white every day, I would because of its natural property of illuminating the face(attracts light to the face) and for my skin tone, white is divine. I think just like black, everyone looks good in white.

Since the look is so delicate, I finished it with a nude pair of pumps and a simple clutch in silver just like the shades of beads on the blouse.

If I were to go on a date night or even somewhere nice for Valentine, this is an example of what I would wear. The silk-chiffon blouse is just so romantic and the leather gives it a little toughness.

Talking about Love, What are your plans for Valentine? Are you going to some where nice with that some one special?

I personally believe that love should be celebrated everyday. Whenever we see the breaking of a new day, we should celebrate love and be kind to one another.

If you have never been lucky in love, don’t worry, there is someone special out there for you. Don’t give up till you find him/her.

I love love and I am in love. For me my love is been like forever, I have a friend who once asked me if I was a very young old woman because I told her I have known my husband for more than 16 years and we have been married for 11. “The very young old woman”  made me smile and thankful. That feeling of togetherness makes me want to LOVE forever and BE LOVED forever. Enough about my love life…lol.

Even tough I say it everyday at the end of every post, I just have to say it again since it’s almost the season of love. I LOVE YOU ALL for always stopping by and for going on this amazing journey with me. Thank you.

STYLE INSPIRATION for this look and TOUGH LOVE!

Inspiration comes from every where. The gentility and the feminine nature of the blouse and the toughness of the leather is not too different from my role as a mother and as a wife. Allow me also to share my “Tough Love” as a wife and as a mother with you. As a mother, it is my duty to make sure with the help of God that my sons are granded in all areas of life (attitude, mannerism etc). If I have to say No to them or scold them, I do it. That doesn’t mean I do not love them. And tough love as a wife is also saying NO to the hubby when I have to. Not because I am not a good wife but because in the long run, my NO will be beneficial to us as a family. I love them a lot but not afraid to be tough on them when I need to.

A lot of LOVE + A little bit of toughness = TOUGH LOVE.

Christian is now back to college in the States and I miss him greatly. I love his mom’s testimony about him. His mom says and I quote, “he left as a boy and he returned a man”. That made me feel a mother’s LOVE and joy. I pray I experience that too with my own boys.  I felt what his mom meant on set, he would hold me so I don’t fall when I wear my shoes and adjust things. Generally he was very kind  and such a gentleman. Thanks for all your help if you are reading Christian.

Finally before I go, I just had to share a cleaning tip with you. I ruined my clutch(made out of silver satin) as you can see with finger print from my hand cream. I have since cleaned it with a slightly damp towel without soap. I got all the marks out and my clutch is looking new again. Try it sometime if you have any stains on your bag or clutches. It works on “some” canvass too.

  11. Oh, I don;t have anything planed for Valentines day. I share your opinion, that love should be celebrated every day. I think Valentines day is much more commercial holiday.
