Happy 4th of July everyone. It is my husband’s birthday today as well. I celebrate him and pray for him. He is indeed a gentle man who puts his family first before every other thing. Happy birthday to you dear hubby, God bless and keep you, amen.
For the sake of the people who don’t know what the 4th of July is, it is a federal holiday in the USA. It is a declaration of Independence day 4/7/1776 and the birth of the USA as an Independent nation.
Outfit of the day!
This is just a quick hello and outfit of the day and in honour of the 4th of July and motivation. It is a quick one because I am home recovering from Flu and hay fever. The look is nothing major, just the same blouse I wore here and a peplum skirt I wore here with basic tee.
I paired my peplum skirt with an off the shoulder blouse and finished the look with barely there heels. I wore some red lipstick to compliment the red blouse and that is my outfit of the day.
By the way, both red and blue are primary colours and can be worn together or with a mix of other colours. Yellow is the 3rd primary colour. All primary colours are the 3 pigments colours that can not be mixed or formed by combination of any other colours. Every other colours are derived from these 3 hues. I spoke on other colours in older posts; Analogous colours HERE and Complimentary colours HERE
Motivation For Monday ::: You are an Elephant, Don’t Behave Like a Dog
I am all about seasons and waiting on God’s time for my own season to come; so no matter what any body else achieves, I can’t be moved or bothered or change my action plan or purpose to achieve the same. It is theirs and not mine because I am confident I will achieve what God wants me to achieve. I encourage you to do the same.
I recently read this from a dear Instagram friend of mine; DAYO who also shares my believe and this is what she wrote……
A Dog and an Elephant became pregnant at the same time. Three months down the line, the dog gave birth to six puppies. Six months later the dog was pregnant again, and nine months on it gave birth to another dozen puppies. The pattern continued.
On the eighteenth month, the Dog approached the Elephant questioning,- “Are you sure that you are pregnant? We became pregnant on the same date, I have given birth three times to a dozen Puppies and they are now grown to become big dogs, yet you are still pregnant. What’s going on?”.
The Elephant replied,- “There is something I want you to understand. What I am carrying is not a Puppy but an Elephant. I only give birth to one in two years. When my baby crosses the road, human beings stop and watch it in admiration, what I carry draws attention. So what I’m carrying is mighty and great.
Here is the real message……
Don’t lose faith when you see others receive answers to their prayers
Don’t be envious of others testimonies.
Don’t despair if you haven’t receive your own blessings. Say to yourself “My time is coming and when it hits the surface of the earth, people shall yield in admiration.
I encourage you to keep working, keep praying and keep pushing. Your day to receive rewards will come and you will be surprised at how big your reward will be. When a man is diligent in his work, he stands before kings.
My prayer for you is that you will be patient to carry through and you will stand before kings and so help you God, amen.

I hope you’re feeling better, hay fever is the worst. I’ve been struggling with my allergies too, so I know how painful it can be. Love this weeks motivation. It’s a great reminder not to get carried away with comparing ourselves to others and their accomplishments. Thanks for sharing with us!
