PINSTRIPE ::: HOW TO WEAR ONE SKIRT IN THREE WAYS

Other than dresses, I love skirts. They do not only make me feel like a lady, they are versatile enough to pair with a chic blouse for the work place or for going out. For example, go for a halter neck blouse, skirt, heels and a clutch or mini bag and you are good for dinner; go for a clean crisp white shirt with flats or heels and you are good for work and on and on. Skirts are great like that. Today, let’s check out one of my oldie but goodie skirts….

Outfit of the Day ::: Red & Pinstripe

For my look today, I was wearing a black and white hi-low pinstripe skirt paired with a red turtle neck. To finish my look, I paired it with a pair of kitten heels frilled detail heels and a belt to accentuate the waist line. I wore a tassel detail scarf to keep warm. I wore the scarf for photographing only….It was cold out there when we did these photos….

Fashion TIP Today ::: Wide Belts

When it comes to styling a look, it is the simple details we include that makes the look. For example, for this look, I paired a simple turtle neck blouse with pinstripe hi-low skirt. As plain as the blouse was, it didn’t come across as plain because of the wide belt I used to blend the blouse and skirt.

Wide belt was one of the trends that came through big for Autumn – Winter 2017. Although they came through big as a trend, the wide belts have always been around and they would continue to be around for a very long time. So to add details to your look, wide belt is an option to explore when styling your look.

Other chic details on this look include frills on my shoes, tassels on my scarf or shawl and the cascading details on my skirt. Have fun paying attention to simple details in your look and have fun styling them.
