MONOCHROME ::: Mono strap body & Sheer maxi

It is a monochrome kind of day today around here, yippee!

Sincerely, I have always wanted to recreate the look Angelina Jolie wore to the 81st Oscars award night and now that I found the style pieces to create the look, I decided to go for it.

For my look today and like I wrote above, I wanted to recreate the look Ms Jolie wore to the 81st Oscars and here it is; For the look, I paired a sheer maxi skirt with defined waist line with a mono-strap body and finished the look with stiletto heels with Pom Pom details. To add an accent to the look, I wore my emerald drop earrings and that completes my look.

This look is super sleek and chic and would be perfect for a summer wedding (yes, you can wear an all black ensemble in the summer) or to any occasion you want to look glam and fab. Black is fabulous for all seasons and to all occasions. Gone are the days when you can only wear black to funerals, this days; you can wear black to all occasions.

Fashion TIP Today ::: Is it a Two-piece or a One-Piece?

I must say that these two-piece look almost like a one piece. This is because the waist of the skirt sits firmly and nicely on my waist line. This also helped create a balance on the bulky or voluminous but airy skirt and the fitted and body hugging blouse.

I always recommend that to accentuate your waist, you should…….

1, ensure to sit the band of your skirt nicely on your natural waist line. This will make you look slimmer or accentuate your waist better.

OR

2, Wear a belt that fits your waist line on your natural waist line. If you are slim / thin, wear a thin belt and if you are chubby / top heavy, wear a wide belt.

I do hope you like this monochromatic look in all black and the addition of emerald drop earring. I have always said your touch of colours does not have to be red only, it could be emerald like I had on in this look or any other colours you fancy. Whatever you choose to wear, just be creative in your styling; boom!
