Gold unlike silver is very “lush”. Gold, whether real or plated looks very luxurious. Pair gold with a monochromatic all black, it looks super sleek.
For my look today, I decided on a monochromatic all black and gold ensemble. If gold is not for you, I have a look book featuring all black and silver here.
I paired my wide leg pants with gold button detail silk shirt. To add more gold accent to the look, I wore a black and gold belt, black and gold heels and a black and gold purse. To tie my look together and to make the look weather appropriate, I wore my long line coat, this time with the belt.
This look to me has a men’s inspired vibe with the trouser cut like the men’s.
What do you say to the look?

Fashion TIP today ::: The Wide Leg Pants
For petite ladies, the wide leg pants or flared cut can help you create the illusion of a longer frame.
To create balance when you wear wide leg pants, ensure that your top is not baggy so you don’t lose your shape.
Motivation For Monday ::: When we wait !
One of the hardest things to do is to wait whether waiting on a long queue to board a bus or waiting for the result of a test /exam/ interview.
There is this saying that says “delay is not denial”. Have you ever been in a situation where by you are waiting on something? You feel restless, hopeful, nervous and looking forward to getting that thing.
For example if you go for an interview, all you want is to hear back from your interviewer is a positive feedback. No one wants to hear; we are sorry on this occasion, you were unsuccessful. You know what I mean if you have ever been unsuccessful at an interview.
While it is difficult to wait, it is important to focus, separate your self and to be positive. All that 3 may be hard to do but here is how to go about it………….
1, Focus
Focus on other things rather than focusing on what you don’t know the outcome yet. When you focus on the things at hand, you will get distracted from the things you can not see. When you can’t see things or are expectant, you are likely to be discouraged. So FOCUS on the things you can see and the things you are happy about. For example, an achievement of yours.
2, Separate yourself !
For example, I believe in the power of prayers and that prayers can change any thing and everything. Now is the time to separate yourself from any kinds of distractions and focus on praying and meditating.
I was once a case of not being hired and then all of a sudden being hired. Well, I told you earlier that prayers can change anything. It has worked for me before.
Pray, it works
3, Be Positive
One of the things I have personally done is that I try to see the positive sides to every situation. I remain calm ( one of the hardest things to do while waiting).
I try to see things from an angle like this…… Yes, I will get it (faith) but if I don’t get it, something better is coming my way (hope). They are 2 positives but in different ways.
So while you wait, it is important to stay focused, pray and be positive. Remember, whether you are delayed or not, what belongs to you will never pass you by.
I wish you the grace to wait and the energy to stay positive while waiting in this new month and beyond, amen.
So tell me, do you like a monochrome look whether in an all black or an any other colour? Or would you rather do gold and silver? Would love to hear from you.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I am aways very happy to see you stop by.
Wishing you a fantastic day today and happy New Month to you.
Much Love, Mojisola.

Thank you so much for reading Sunshine.
Much Love.
All black is or was very New York City. I think less and less girls are doing it but it’s still at the heart of our city. Much like your look here, you can’t go wrong in head to toe black. You look polished, sophisticated & stylish. Black is not always boring. It depends on how & what pieces you put together. You’ve clearly done it right. You look fantastic as usual.
(side-bar: sorry to be missing in action. you know I love visiting your blog. I had foot surgery & was out for the count. I’m back up and getting around but most importantly, I’m back visiting your blog).

Another great motivational Monday – I was in that exact spot back in December…and the power of prayer (turning it over to Him) got me thru it
Hope your week is going well!

#TailoredBoss hon! Liking the wide lapels and belted black coat and those loose fitting trousers are a pleasant alternative to skinnies. I looooove the mix of black and gold, there’s something of when those golden warm liquid tones hit black…creates a striking impact! Good Motivations here….there’s a lot to be said about waiting, there’s this 70s song called Don’t Push It by Leon Haywood and the lyrics go something like: Don’t push it, dont force it, let it happen naturally. It will surely happen if it was meant to be….’ I try to abide by that! Have a good week hon! ) :
Thank you dear Biki. Always good to hear from you.
Take care of you and Kisses.
I love all black looks. As a matter of fact, I wore mostly black until recently. So my favorite monochromatic look will definitely be an all black ensemble paired with gold. The androgynous look is nice.
Thank you for reading dear Sade. Yes, black is fab any time and any day.
Cheers
