After wearing my braids for up to 8 weeks, I took them out and I have been rocking my natural hair for a couple of weeks. As we all know, natural hair can be high maintenance, especially when styling in a hurry, so last weekend when I was running errands, to save me time, I wore this turban to help me look well put together with my maxi dress. To make my look even dressier, I paired the look with my butterfly gold plated necklace and my brand new mother necklace and wore an oversized pair of earrings to finish the look. Speaking of layered necklace, let me tell you more about this pair I have on….
If you have been following me for a while, you would know that this butterfly necklace was given to me by my Mum since I was a teenager and I truly enjoy wearing it. However, for this look, since it was a “laid back dressy” look, I wanted to have fun with layered necklace, so I paired the butterfly necklace with my new yellow gold plated mother necklace. I tell you, picture doesn’t do the necklace justice. The necklace actually have the names of my husband and two children engraved on it. I particularly love it because each time I travel, I bring my family with me, so to say. See close shot of similar necklace with engraved names clearly shown below:
So, for my look today, I was wearing a maxi dress with a pair of slides and to finish my look, I wore a black turban and finished my look with layered necklace and a leather top handle completes my look. This is my end of Summer laid back weekend errand look.
