Today, I shopped my entire look from my closet! Have you ever opened up your closet to pick out what to wear and the only pieces you reach for are your favourite old things? My look today was styled with all things oldie but goodie; I mean from the faded khaki pants to the basic tee to the shoes and bag and to the necklace. Every thing is old but in today’s look, I made them all new; that is what it means to shop from your own wardrobe.
The weather has finally warmed up which means slippers time! For my look today, I paired my old faded khaki pants with my old rose detail basic tee and finished the look with a khaki oversized bag and white slippers with gold accent. The look is simple yet chic, laid back yet stylish. It is a perfect weekend and errand look for a warm Summer day. Do you think so too?
Allow me digress a little! One of the things I learnt from my mother is how to keep things safe. She taught me how to cherish and care for things no matter what that thing is. This simple principle, I apply to all areas of my life. Be it a homeware or an old school note book with helpful stuff or money, I have mastered keeping things really safe. You should try it too. It would be good to look back and say something like, “I have had this bracelet now for 30 years”
Keeping things safe brought about this necklace I was wearing today. Anytime I miss my mum, I would open up my jewellery box and bring out this necklace she gave to me since I was a teenager. It is one of the very many things I would cherish for ever out of the many precious things she gave to me……..
Fashion TIP today ::: Shop Less, Wear More
I believe in wearing an outfit up to 3 – 5 times “before its life span is complete / over”. This is one style factor I have brought to this blog and I hope as many readers / friends / fans as possible can learn the art of maximising through me. It is my desire to see women shop smart, and wear lush and also learn how to maximise what they already have. It is easy to spend less on clothes when you learn How to Shop Well and the Art of maximising.
The last time I wore this pants, I dressed it up unlike the dressed down chic look I have on today. See it below………
I do hope you like my styling of this faded khaki pants. Which look do you prefer, are you for the glam or for the casual, please share your thoughts with me in the comments below.
I want to thank you so much for stopping by today. Wishing you an amazing day today.
Much Love, Mojisola.
I was wearing: Zara pants | United Colors of Benetton tee | Zara Slippers | Zara Bag | Necklace from mum | Bracelet (Lagos)

Thank you dear Linda/ Do have an awesome weekend.

These pants look entirely different in these two looks – amazing!
As for old things, they really are a nice comfort. The other day, I pulled out a dress I have had for 15+ years and wore it – just threw on a cardigan, and it covered up some straps I would likely not wear our these days. No one knew about the straps, and I got to wear something with a lot of great memories!
Yes Sarah, old things are good for great memories. I love that a lot. And as for the trousers, that’s the idea; to make if look different
Thank you beautiful.
Cheers.
