2 WAYS TO STYLE A COLOUR-BLOCK TUNIC

Jeans is a down time wear for most people but for me, tunics and dresses are my go to down time wear. They are easy to throw on and go. You can run errands with them, go shopping with them, wear them on a very warm Summer day, wear them on a summer night with heels and if you have mastered the art of maximising, you can wear them in the Winter with tall boots and turtle neck layered with a coat.

Outfit of the Day ::: Colour Block Summer Tunic

For this look, I wanted to show you 2 easy ways to style this simple tunic tie dress. For the first styling, I paired the tunic with leggings and for accessories, I wore a bold red necklace to add more colour to the look. I finished the look with a pair of pointy toe frilled mules.

For the 2nd option, I wore the tunic on it’s own and to cinch in the waist or accentuate the waist, I wore a belt with gold accent. To add a pop of colour to the look, I wore an orange mini purse and finished my look with the same mules as seen before.

As you can see, the look was created with the same interpretation and colour story. What I mean is this: the dress is colour – blocked and for look one, I introduced a red necklace and for look 2, I introduced an orange purse, hence same interpretation and colour story….

As you can see also, LESS IS MORE in this styling. When I wore the necklace, I didn’t wear the belt and when I wore the belt, I didn’t wear the necklace. It is always good to find a balance even in styling. Wearing both pieces together would be too much. So, less is more. Please always do as you please with your own look
