HOW TO STYLE STRIPES & MOTIVATION FOR MONDAY

Stripes to me look dressy than they really are. Wear stripes in basic tee like I have on or as a dress or a shirt, it looks dressy. In general, stripes can be worn dressed up or worn dressed down.

Outfit of the Day!

This was a casual look I wore to run errands a couple of weeks ago. For this look, I paired basics or wardrobe essentials form start to finish. I paired a white cropped denim with basic stripe tee and finished the look with a pair of stripe flats. For accessories, I wore a statement necklace that matches my over sized bag to tie the look together.

Fashion TIP Today :::  How to Dress Up Stripes

Like I said above and in my humble, stripes to me look dressy even when they are casual pieces like a basic tee. You can…….

1, pair your stripes with other stripes; in my own case I paired my stripe tee with stripe flats.

2, Pair your stripes with statement necklace to dress it up.

3, Pair yours with a blazer. For my look today, I wore this crop blazer because it was warm enough for me on the day I shot this look.

4, Pair your stripe tee with a solid denim or skirt, heels and a gorgeous bag and any jewelry you fancy.

I love oversized bags because they are perfect for my height. If you are petite, a big bag like this would be too big on you by the way; go for small or medium size bags.

Also have in mind that stripes come in horizontal or vertical lines. For someone who wants to appear lean and long, go for vertical stripes (up to down) and for someone who want to appear wide, an horizontal stripes(side to side) will be perfect for you. 

Motivation for Monday ::: Never Too Late

For what it’s worth, it is never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you have a life you are proud of, and if you find out that you are not, I hope you find the strength to start over. F.Scott Ftizgerald.

Starting over anything in life is one of the toughest things anyone can do but in most cases, it is always worth it. Sometimes in life we may have gone far doing the wrong thing. When we discover we are on the wrong path, it is always best to pause/take a break and pray, find out what we really want to do, find a strategy that works and start doing what we really want to do. As hard as this may be, it will be worth it in the end.

I am a believer that doing the wrong thing perfectly or in the right way will not bring the results we want. It is when we do the right thing the right way that we can get the result we want and be who we want to be.

My prayer for you today is that God will give you strength, boldness and courage to start over. Somebody say amen
