Brown is such a beautiful colour to wear but to wear it stylishly and chic, it is important to mix and match your pieces well and “find a balance” in putting your look together. Today’s look is a good example of how to wear brown…
Outfit of the Day!
Just like black, if you would wear brown stylishly, you have to mix different shades. Having said that, you can wear a monochromatic all black or all brown ensemble. Mixing different shades and textures work if going monochrome.
For my look today, I was wearing a hi-low belted brown skirt with a print slouchy blouse with neck tie details. For accessories, I wore a pair of nude or beige coloured heels (still in the family of brown) and a tan bag completes the look – another shade of brown. And voila, my outfit of the day.
As you can see, my look has a hint of brown on all the pieces and the different shades of brown(s) created a juxtapositions (balance) on the entire look.
I was wearing
Zara Skirt (sale buy) | Zara Blouse (sale buy) | Micheal Kors Collection Bag | Christian Louboutin Heels | Primark Panty Hose (Reviewed HERE)
Fashion TIP Today ::: Plain & Pattern
This look is a mix of plain and pattern, also a mix of different fabric and print. You would see that all the colours I incorporated into my look was picked from my blouse – if you like, my look mimicked my blouse story. When wearing plain and pattern, use the pattern of your choice to put your look together. To be well put together, creating a colour story from your print will help you achieve a flawless and elegant look. If I can say so myself, this is a good example of how to wear print and pattern.
I do hope you liked the look and I hope you found the styling TIPS helpful. Most importantly, I hope you can incorporate the TIPS into your own look. What do you think? Please do share your thoughts.
