Last weekend was “the bomb.com” as I got to hang out with a few ladies I met through You Tube. I love it when I get together with women who are driven, enthusiastic and fun. What is life without some fun any way?
These ladies are in their 20s and they sure are high on life. All of them are on the right path and I am so proud of them. With one getting married, a few of them in their Masters Programme and a few of them rounding up college soon, I am highly inspired by their plans for the future.
We talked, we rubbed minds, we shared ideas, we talked about boys of course, we eat and much more. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to do it again.
Meeting up with the girls wasn’t the only thing I enjoyed last weekend.
I also enjoyed reading the brand new book from my boo, Stella from Fashion and Style Police blog. Her new book is called “How to ‘Cash in’ as a blogger“.The good news is that the book is free for Kindle unlimited readers on Amazon for the next 3 months. If you are a blogger who want to go PRO or make money from blogging, this is a must read for you. Trust me, I read it on the night she released it. It is an awesome read. Go on and check it out.
See it below………..
How are you today? What did you do at the Valentine’s weekend?
Will share how I spent my Valentine weekend with you in another post
However, I drop you a Valentine’s well wish + prayers & wrote my LOVE STORY in the past 2 posts. Do read them if you missed them
Motivation For Monday :::: Surround Your Self With Positive People
You are the average of the five people you spend most of your time with….Jim Rohn.
The same way you think about what you put in your mouth especially if you are eating healthy is the same way you should think about the people you spend your time with.
Ask yourself the following about the people you spend time with……..
**Do they add value to you? **Do they make you happy and energised after spending time with them? **Do they encourage you and make you feel like you have what it takes to reach your goals. ***Do they motivate, inspire and lift you up?
Those are some of the questions you should ask your self when spending so much time with people.
Or……..
**Do they make you feel discouraged? **Do they use you? ** Do they suck up your energy, happiness and resources?
Ask yourself all of the above and be sure to be intentional about the people you spend your time with just like you care about what you put in your body when trying to live healthily. Bad food can be toxic to the body and so can the wrong people in your life.
Let me finish motivation for Monday with this quote from Karl Maxx which says “Surround yourself with people who make you happy. People who make you laugh, who help you when you are in need. People who genuinely care. They are the ones worth keeping in your life. Every one else is just passing through”.
Listen, you owe it to yourself to surround yourself with positive people. Do it for you, you deserve it.
How do you recognise the people who are just passing by in your life and how do you let go of them?
Would love to hear from you please.
Like I said above, I went to enjoy some quality time with my girls and this was what I wore on the day. For this pairing, I dressed the look up with heels which is perfect for dinner/date night. I also dressed the look down with flats which is perfect for running errands and for other casual runs.
After photos, I paired the look with blocked heels over the knee boots as it was cold and we did a lot of running around in town. Sorry I didn’t photograph that.
Fashion TIP today ::: Tweed on Tweed
As you can see, I paired this tweed mini dress with a tweed and denim mix jacket.
Whenever I mix print on print, I look for a way to blend both prints together. In this case, the tweed dress blends well with the tweed jacket because both of them are similar in pattern. Not only that, they both have shredded hem.
The dress is lined across or horizontal which made me look wider. The tweed jacket however is lined up to down or vertically which made my upper body narrower and balanced.
The dress also has a waist detail which sat on my waistline. This automatically created the illusion of a smaller waist. Altogether created some balance on the look.
So the TIP for mixing print on print is to look for something that blends both prints together.
To see more TIPS & Practical example of mixing print on print, check this print on print look.
Mixing print on print or mixing textures is fun. Go ahead and have fun with your own pairing.
Heels or flats in this look, which would you spot? Would love to know your thoughts please.
I want to thank you so much for stopping by today. I am always very happy to see you stop by.
Wishing you a fantastic week filled with blessings from above.
Much Love, Mojisola.

Enjoy. XX
Thank you so much Jackie.

Sounds and looks like you had a fantastic time. Even more so, you dressed the part for this fabulous gathering extremely well. You’re giving me modern day Katherine Hepburn & ladies who lunch all in one. Tweed on tweed is so chic. I feel that a lot of girls would shy away from it but not you. I love that! Those legs are looking long and lean without your dress having to be a micro mini. So classy.
