The last look book I did of a maxi dress was taking a cheaper version of an expensive dress and making that dress look expensive. Today, I am sharing another look book of a dress with you but this time, in a “work wear” kind of way. However this dress can go to many places and I can’t wait to wear it to the many places I have in mind.
Outfit of the Day ::: Floral Midi
In my kind of job, I am allowed to dress extravagantly or over the top. However, it has to be work appropriate and business like. If you like, call it “dressed down formal” or “laid back formal” and this is the kind of look I can show up in at work. On meeting days or meeting with “external bodies”, we take formal a tad higher…..laid back palazzo and crisp shirt with some open toe heels is just fine on such days…….
This midi dress was love at first sight for me when I saw it. I knew I could do many things with it and wear to many places….#goals 
The styling is simple but chic. I paired the dress with a nude or beige if you like pair of high heels and finished the look with my current favourite bag. And to block the sun, I wore a pair of sun glasses, one that added some “razzmatazz” to my look
And viola, my Summer perfect work OOTD. OOTD = Outfit of the day!
By the way, everyone needs to protect them selves from the sun whether your skin is the palest of all or you are dipped in Melanin like me. This is WHY you must wear Sun Protection & Other Ways to Stay Safe in the Sun.
The picture above reminds me of the statement, “making the streets your runway”. Claire and I look for random places and we do photos that works there. I am grateful indeed for this lady. Let’s talk about Fashion TIPS…..
Fashion TIP Today ::: Floral to Work & The “Cold Shoulder” Trend
This look is a typical example of spotting a trend in a classic way. The cold shoulder trend is still very big at the moment and this dress is airy and breathable, I considered both factors when choosing this dress. If you are not big on trends, you can buy classic while still spotting trend in little ways like I did today.

That is a gorgeous dress I could wear to work myself. At my work place, I wear whatever I feel comfortable wearing that day. The only options I have not considered are evening wears and clothes that reveal too much such as mini and plunging neckline.

Isn’t it great when you see a dress or piece that you know is something you have to have? I’ve been trying to make my wardrobe full of these things (though there are still a fair number of things in there which I have to have – I’m always hoping I’ll find pieces I love to replace them!).
