For about 4 years, I was a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. Although I do not do Mary Kay anymore, the EXPERIENCES; business tips, beauty tips, skin care tips and so many other things I learnt from being a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant is part of what gives me the confidence to run my own business, write beauty and skin care like a “pro” and do so many other things for myself and my client’s companies and so much more. Today, I will be sharing the importance of making things happen with you.
Before I share that with you, I want to let you know that the next two weeks is going to be very busy for me. I have a major “thing” I am embarking on. Although I will be busy, I have updated the blog as always and there will always be blogs here for you. Please stick around, read, share, comment and continue to support this vision. Please pray along with me also for good success. I appreciate you always for your time, love, prayer and support.
Mary Kay Ash, the founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics says, “There are 3 types of people in the world. The ones who watch things happen, the ones who make things happen and the ones who look around and say, what just happened”.
I started this blog by sharing that I was once a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant and a lot of the principles Mary Kay shared in her life time, I live by them because they are true, written from experience and are life changing.
I also said that I will be very busy in the next two weeks, yet, I come here to write this blog to inspire / motivate you. This is because, I know exactly the calling God has placed upon my life to write and speak inspiration and encourage people. And no matter what I do or how busy I am, I will serve the people He wants me to serve.
Today, my message is simple, please don’t watch things, happen, don’t look around and see what other people are doing and say what just happened, please be the ONE WHO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.
The People who watch things happen:
When every one takes action, they make excuses, they sit around, they fold their arms and watch every one else “hustle” (go work on their goals), they wait for the perfect time and opportunities, they want it all but can’t work for it and they are not willing to pay the price and so much more……..
The people who make things happen:
They may not have everything BUT they are always willing to try and pay the price, they work hard no matter what, they stay up late to work and rise up early to continue, they are afraid BUT they continue anyway, they stick to their vision and convictions, they maximize their gifts + they do what they have to do and so much more…….
The people who look around and say what just happened:
They had the same opportunity just like anyone but they do not maximize it. They look back with regret and say, if I had known, they begin to look for short cuts to make ends meet and so much more…….
Listen, be the “middle man”; the one who make things happen! You may not have the perfect time, you may not have the perfect resources and you may not have the perfect opportunity or the money but do what you can to be the one who make things happen for you, your community and the world at large.
I want to thank you so much for stopping by today and for reading. Don’t forget to make things happen.
Much Love, Mojisola.
