As a wife and a working mum, it can be challenging sometimes to get everything done. From school run to making sure there is home cooked meals, 24 hours can seem like 2 hours in my eye if I am being truthful.
Even though getting everything done can be “crazy”, I am not that woman who make excuses not to achieve the things I want to achieve or do. My believe in life is if there is a will, there will always be a way.
I do my best to always find a balance between family, work, play and everything I do or I want to get done.
One of the ways I keep track of some of the things I do or would like to achieve is that I write them down.
I have always wanted to have a platform where I can influence women to dress well, look well and be who they want to be and I knew I wanted to do that through Fashion. When the season was right in my life, I started and that is WHY there is Moj in touch.
Before Moj in touch was birthed, it was on my to do LIST. If I didn’t write it down, I probably wouldn’t do it or follow it through if it was only in my thoughts.
Back in the day, I used to have a diary where I write my thoughts and feelings. Now I use a journal to document my thoughts, prayer requests, the things I hope to get done daily/weekly/monthly etc. I also document the things I am thankful for and I do not forget to give myself a pat on the back for the things I have achieved.
YES, it is important to celebrate your good works. Most of us beat ourselves when we don’t get things done but we forget to celebrate the ones we get done.
Please always give yourself a pat on the back when you need to. Trust me, I do it and it is my feel good factor.
Reasons WHY I use the journal or WHY I write things down.
1, For writing my thoughts and ideas down.
2, For self accountability.
3, For setting goals and checking back as a reminder to achieve them.
4, So I do not forget the things I am thinking. An idea comes to me in a flash, I write it down immediately.
5, For prayers, thanksgiving, aspirations, living intentionally and on purpose and more.
I consider journaling part of my me time. I enjoy it.
Do you use a journal or do you write things down? Would love to know what you do please.
I will encourage you to draw up a strategy where by you write things down and always go back to check them as a reminder to yourself of what you need to do and when you need to do them.
Last year, while working with some start ups / brands. I had to do some research to get information on people we were working with. While doing the research, I found out that one of the top bloggers; if you like one of the “most influential bloggers in Nigeria” wrote some of the things she has now achieved down. You may know her, you may not. She is Linda Ikeji.
Journaling or writing things down is not for mums only. It is for everyone who is passionate about goal setting and realising them. Perfect for Students, Working class women, Stay at home mums, Daddies and every one really.
The journal I use is one I would highly recommend to you. It has different section for different purposes. It also has personalised notes of encouragement from the amazing Author. The size is also perfect and would fit into even the smallest size bag.
You need to check it out in full, the inside is different, I have never seen anything like it before. Check it out in full here

Now unto my Look!
Lately, I have been loving the wide leg pants / trousers and I have been wearing them a lot. Today, I paired my grey wide leg pants with a white and grey high neck blouse and a coloured jumper to add some warmth to the neutral colours. To finish the look, I matched my shoes to my jumper and I also had my clutch and journal with me.
I brought the journal on set so I could share it with you just like I share any other things with you from Nude lipsticks to Skin care. Since today is Motivation for Monday, I thought to share my journaling story just to encourage you.
Always remember that when you write things down or Journal, you are more likely to do them and be thankful for them than when you are just thinking about them.
FASHION TIP TODAY ::::: HOW TO WEAR BAGGY ON BAGGY
Did you notice my jumper is a little baggy?
I wore this one because I wanted to experiment with pairing baggy on baggy.
The safest thing to do when wearing baggy pants or trousers is to pair them with fitted blouses like I did in this monochromatic look.
For petite ladies who want to create the illusion of a longer frame, the wide leg pants would do that magic for you. Flared pants will also do the same for you.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I am aways very happy to see you stop by. How was your weekend?
I love reading from you, do leave me a comment and tell me about your own journaling experience if you do.
And what do you think of my mix of wide leg pants on baggy jumper. Let me know below please.
Wishing you a fantastic day today and as always, God bless you with his love and peace now and forever, amen.
Much Love, Mojisola.
I was wearing………….
Tommy Hilfiger Jumper
Zara Wide Leg Pants & high neck blouse.
Gianna di Firenze block heels
Karen Millen Clutch

Oh wow! Thank you Moji, for featuring the Living Amazed journal on your blog and for your glowing recommendation. I am like truly honoured. Wow!
I even like how your outfit and the journal compliment each other.
Mama t’oh quality
It is a great journal. Well done on creating it.
And YES, the journal was part of the styling:)
Thank you for reading.
Mojisola.
Well I keep a diary, when I was younger I would write in it daily, now I write on days when something major has happened…or a particularly big problem….or I am particularly happy….its really good to write things down and you keeping a journal is the way to go! And back to Fashion: loving those grey wide legged pants! Have a gd wk ahead! ( :
Thank you Biki. Smart woman, you are so good and at what you do too.
Cheers.
I have two journals. One for blog stuff and another for ideas. I write a lot so I had to have 2. Love the jumper and pants. Looking great as always.

Good to know Stella. I think I may have seen one on your Instagram.
Thanks for reading.
Mojisola
Looking good Mojisola!
I think this is the most casual I’ve ever seen you, maybe with the exception of you in the sneakers that ONE time, hahaha!
I always write things down for almost the same reasons as well, good tips.
Lol to “most casual”
Okay, dressing too glam is what happens when you don’t have a girl child. YOu just want to wear all the clothes your girl child could be wearing, you know..wink.
Seriously, that is just my style. Would incorporate more dress down looks into the blogs hopefully.
Thank you for reading and for always making me laugh.
Love, Mojisola.
Well, great minds think alike indeed. For pretty much the same reasons as you I’ve been writing things down ever since I could hold a pen. From new words I read to cool places I want to see to authors I’d love to read more of … basically everything. This year I have three journals, my idea journal, and my diary and my book for poetic writing.
hahaha that sounds like a lot, I know.
Loving the baggy pants look, btw. Right up my alley! This year I’ll all about casual chic comfortable.
That is awesome Cara.
Thank you so much for reading.
Cheers.
Oh my goodness. I had to laugh a little when reading your opening statement. I’m not a wife, not a mother…. I don’t even have a pet and I forget things all the time. I have to email myself little notes , otherwise I forget. The other week I walked (limped) out of the living and went to my bedroom. By the time I was inside my bedroom, I had forgotten why I went there. How darn crazy is that?! I have NO EXCUSE.
As for the fashion, this is a beautiful color. It’s wintry but still vibrant. I really like this color but you don’t see it a lot in the stores these days. At least I don’t. I also like that you did the double layer knit. I’ve never tried that before but now I’ll have to give it a try one of these days.
Lastly, thank you for the wonderful email you sent me concerning my health/foot. I’m doing much better thanks. I wrote you back… I hope you received it. Oddly enough, your email went in to my junk/spam folder but I got it right away. I found enough energy this past weekend to do a photo shoot of 2 different looks. Now I have to find the time & energy to post it. I’m back at work and I’m swamped and I’m going away at the end of this week. Too much on my plate!

We need to get you one of this journals then gorgeous.
It is my pleasure anytime. Relationships shouldn’t be just about reading on each others blogs. It is about reaching out when we need each other.
Love you my tall sister.
Much Love. Happy Valentine in advance.
Take care of those Ballet legs of yours
Great post Mojisola! I’m more of a ‘list’ gal – I’ve tried journals but always forget to write in them after a few entries…but lists – I make ’em every day!
Hi Linda,
If that is what works, why not:)
Just wanted to share this one because it is a great one.
Thank you for reading beautiful lady.
Oh, you know I will love anything pink!
I have periodically kept journals. I love it when I do, and yet it always seems to fall by the wayside after a couple months. I think if I could figure out a way to keep one that didn’t seem like yet another daily task on an always-too-long list of tasks, I would be able to keep up with it. Alas, that has yet to happen.
Hi Sarah! Your comment about seeing journaling as a daily task caught my attention. The good thing is you don’t necessarily have to journal everyday… just when you want too.
If you can find a journal with guided prompts, I think it will help with not seeing journaling as yet another task. The Living Amazed Journal has guided prompts to focus your thoughts positively..and it gingers you ..it’s like you are almost looking forward to filling in your journal.
All the best!
Hey Sarah, that was why I shared the one I used here on the blog. It is different and specifically designed for easy use. Check out the picture illustration on the creators website. Use the link I provided in the post.
Need any more details, I will be glad to help.

Loving the color combination! You’ve style the wide-leg pant flawlessly. Such a great ensemble for a winter or early spring look.
