HOW TO WEAR THE PANTS-SUITS

Think of a formal wear for a man, you think of suits, right? When it comes to the woman, dresses, skirts, fitted shirts and pants + blazer could be regarded to as formal depending on how they are worn. Now, the woman can wear the pants-suits. Hillary Clinton to me is the queen of pants-suits. She wears it well.  Her wardrobe of pants-suit is enviable.

Well, I do not have many pants suits in my closet / wardrobe but today, I have a perfect one to share with you with some STYLING TIPS.

Outfit of the Day!

I got this set for a speaking engagement last month but I ended up wearing a dress because my delivery didn’t arrive before I travelled. Now, I have this suit, what better way to launch it than to share it on the blog + styling TIPS.

For my look today, I wore this 3/4 length pants with its double breasted blazer. To cover or close up the gap on my chest area without having to wear a camisole, I wore a scarf around my neck area. And because the look is bright as it is, I finished the look with my nude/beige pair of heels. I rolled up my sleeve to make the look less formal.

The blazer could also be worn without the cami or scarf. However, it would show a “peek-a-boo” of the breasts, if you fancy that style. You can also layer on necklaces to cover the chest area, if you fancy that style too

This look can be worn to a formal event (like the speaking engagement I mentioned above), can be worn to a creative or artsy work environment or anywhere you don’t mind standing out because of the colour….
 
 

Styling TIP Today!

A colour like this is bold and bright and not everyone would wear it. However, mustard is a subtle shade in the yellow family that sits well on all skin tone. Until you throw it on, you may not like it. It is worth trying. And like I always say, if you wear something you don’t like, just take it off. It is as simple as that.

Secondly, wearing that scarf around my neck automatically toned the look down. The scarf can also be worn in numerous ways. Please see picture below.

Thirdly, the nude heels is a wardrobe essential everyone should have in their closet. They are just like black shoes, they go with almost everything. To learn how to choose the perfect NUDE for yourself, please check HERE

Fourthly, if you are short or petite, a cropped pants like this one can make you look shorter. You can pair yours with heels but I shared an extensive post on how to choose the best cropped pants for you HERE

Lastly, both pieces can be worn separately. I have worn the blazer with denim and would wear the pants again real soon. The possibility of both pieces are endless.
